Goldenfish sweet!?

One of our staff,Yuki gave me summer gift.
The sweets made to resemble a golden fish and the basin.
It's really the Japanese summer thing as you feel the season.

Preparing for the local festival?

These lanterns are expressed as the sign of local festival comes soon.
Since the earthquake happened, Japanese local summer festivals mostly were cancelled unfortunately.
In fact, most of festivals are for repose of souls whose the deceased.
Well, the biggest firework festival "Sumida river" will be hold next month.
You will see the firework in Minamisenju, where we are too!
Asakusa is really full. So visit Minamisenju and stay with us, the Chiyoda inn(^^)/

Grilled Salmon and rice.

It's my diner tonight!
I'm getting be well to cook rice with plastic container.
The salmon is come from Seven eleven.
I don't prefer the convenience store's ranch box.
So,I cock often, even without fire.
I use only the container and microwave.
You can cook rice without the machine.
My friend said "What I bought the rice cooker in Japan, can't use in Europe, so you need a transformer, if you use it. But so expensive than if you buy another "
I recommend you, who want to cook rice, the way which is more easy and cheap, You put rice into a plastic container(which is heat resistant).
And pour the water into the container and rinse the rice, pour off the water(repeat  that two or three times over).
Pour the new water into the container (a quantity that is twice as great as rice)
Then put the container into a microwave for 25~30mins
In the end, you stir them with a rice scoop, and allow boiled rice settle for a couple of minutes.
If you couldn't eat all.,you can preserve in fridge as whole of the container easily.

He strayed into our Inn.That's the Japanese particular seasonal things!
The green is really beautiful!

A cat rest on the wall.

There are many cats around Chiyoda Inn.
This cat is probably the biggest one in these cats.
Some cats are alley cats and other cats have owners.
Nowadays, the cat's　delivery season came, and kittens play often nearby here.

Jiro washed other sliding doors Today.

We are washing these sliding doors which are between the lobby and the gallery.
From this Thursday, we are holding the photo exhibition in the gallery(Gallery TEKI-AN http://www.teki-an.com/gyarari_di_an/events_%28blog%29/entori/2011/6/23_huano_yiroifotoimaju_yunno_shang_xie_zhen_zhan.html)
So we need to clean these things as preparation before open the exhibition.

Tanabata(Festival of the star Vega)

In "Tanabata" day comes July 7th
People decorates colorful paper(like a Origami)which is written your wish with the bamboo tree.
The wish: I wish the chiyoda inn will be the Ryokan (Japanese style inn) which makes you to feel "I want to back to Japan again "
